Hey, I’m Kat Banks. I have been a member of the Canadian military for the last 10 years.
I spent most of my youth participating in sports, including baseball, volleyball, football, track and, my favourite sport, ultimate frisbee.
In high school I was introduced to martial arts and began coaching and competing in tae kwon do, jiu jitsu and other martial arts. I coached martial arts for 6 years to all different ages and abilities until I joined the military.
When I joined the military, I lost touch with health and fitness until a friend of mine introduced me to CrossFit. After a deployment I found CrossFit Poise and never looked back.
I trained at CrossFit Poise for 2 years before I took CrossFit Level- 1 training course. The course not only gave me a better understanding of CrossFit and health but also reinforced my desire to start coaching and help others in the same way that CrossFit and CrossFit Poise had helped me.
I am looking forward coaching and hope to help the CrossFitPoise family crush their fitness and health goals in the future.
